Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Drift Bottle collects, uses, stores, and deletes data. Replace “Drift Bottle” and the support email with your legal entity details before publishing.
1. Who we are
Drift Bottle is a social app that lets users throw bottles, pick bottles, and start one-to-one chats. For privacy questions, contact us at bottle@asstudiox.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: email address, user ID, authentication session data, temporary nickname, and login status.
- Profile information: nickname, avatar, gender, and birth date if you choose to provide them.
- User-generated content: bottle text, bottle images, chat messages, message images, reports, and report reasons.
- Usage and safety data: throw/pick counts, conversation read state, deleted conversation state, report records, and moderation signals.
- Device and notification data: push notification token, platform, and device identifier used to deliver chat notifications.
- Local cache: recent messages, conversations, and profile data may be stored on your device to improve speed and offline loading.
3. How we use information
- To create and manage your account.
- To deliver bottles, chats, images, and notifications.
- To enforce daily limits, prevent spam, and improve community safety.
- To process reports, investigate abuse, and remove harmful content.
- To provide account deletion and data deletion features.
- To maintain app reliability, security, and performance.
4. Translation feature
If you use message translation, the selected message text may be sent to a translation service used by the app. Do not translate messages that contain sensitive personal information unless you are comfortable with this processing.
5. Sharing and processors
We use service providers to operate Drift Bottle, including Supabase for authentication, database, storage, realtime features, and Edge Functions; Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications; and platform services from Apple and Google. These providers process data only as needed to operate the app.
6. Public and other-user visibility
Your bottles may be shown to other users. Your nickname, avatar, and gender may be shown to chat partners depending on app settings and conversation context. Chat messages and images are visible to conversation participants and may be reviewed when reported.
7. Data retention
We keep account and app data while your account is active. Some safety records may be retained where necessary to investigate abuse, comply with law, prevent repeat violations, or protect users. Local cache is stored on your device and may be cleared by deleting the app or deleting your account.
8. Account and data deletion
You can delete your account inside the app from Profile → Delete account. Deletion removes your profile, bottles, chats, messages, uploaded images, reports associated with your account, push tokens, local cache, and authentication account. See Account Deletion for more details.
9. Security
We use Supabase Row Level Security, authenticated storage access, and server-side functions for privileged operations. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we design the app to limit direct access to private user data.
10. Children
Drift Bottle is not intended for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
11. International users
Your information may be processed in countries where our providers operate. By using the app, you understand that data may be transferred and processed outside your country.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, notifying users in the app.
